Sunday July 19th – 10 a.m. Worship |
Growing in Purposefulness
“Growing” is our theme for the month of July. Each Sunday we will be exploring a practice that if cultivated may help us to grow in our capacity to love as Christ commands. This Sunday we will explore how we may cultivate a practice of growing in purposefulness.
This Sunday, Gerry Elion working with Daon Drisdom our Music Minister selected musical offerings from the composer Sebastian Temple. Temple’s music has ministered to Gerry over the years and she shares with us some about the composer and how his music moves her.
Pastor Stacy is our preacher and explores Matthew 6:25-34, the beautiful passage in which bids his disciples to “consider the lilies” in a sermon entitled “Today’s Troubles are Enough for Today”.
[Jesus said]”You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ (Matthew 22: 37-39)
