We often say at the Union Church in Waban, that we are a church without walls, meaning that our life together is one that is lived out into the world. Sunday, May 19th, was a good example of this as we celebrated “Care of Creation Sunday.” As part of that celebration, a dozen intrepid UCW cyclists biked to church as a symbol of our growing commitment to lighten our impact on the earth. The group biked together from Cold Spring Park to church along Beacon Street with no serious incidents! On arrival at UCW, the group was greeted by Pastor Stacy, who blessed the bikes and the riders, and challenged us to continue in our commitment to care for God’s sacred creation, our home, the earth.
