Christmas Cantata on Christmas Sunday, December 23. We will have a special music service, featuring our Adult and Children’s Choirs, soloists, and guest flutist.
Christmas Eve Service with Children’s Tableau Monday, December 24th, 6:00 p.m. Our Christmas Eve service was moved from 7:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m. in response to the feedback we received through the deacon’s survey last year. In that survey two thirds of respondants said they prefered the service to be earlier than 7:00 p.m. We also heard from you that you wanted to have child care avialable and a place for parents to step out of the service with their children if needed. Both will be available this year.

Bible Study will meet this Sunday, December 23rd, but will not meet on December 30.
There will be no prayer group on December 26or January 2. We will resume on January 9, 2013.
Children who would like to take part in Monday’s Christmas Eve tableau should plan to arrive at church by 5:45 p.m. on Sunday. Parents should accompany their kids to the Vestry to claim a part and a costume. Participants will sit with their parents during the service and will be cued to come forward for their part in the tableau during the appropriate hymn.
Childcare on Christmas Eve The nursery will be open and professionally staffed for children four years of age and younger. Children older than four are welcome to visit the Littlehale Room at their parents’ discretion, where a table will be professionally staffed with coloring activities.
The office will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, as well as New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Stacy will be away from December 25 through January 1st. We will have a guest preacher, Rev. M. Enid Watson, on December 30th. Those with pastoral care needs during Stacy’s absence should contact Deacon of the Month Judy Nagle.
Spiritual Autobiograph course begins Monday evening, January 7 and continues every Monday evening for the next six weeks. Tom Vawter and Stacy Swain will be leading a course entitled “Finding the Sacred in Our Own Life Experiences.” We will meet in the Reception Room from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
We will celebrate Epiphany on Thursday, January 10th at 6:00 p.m. We will begin with a potluck meal in the vestry, and will then process the light of God throughout the church ending up in the sanctuary for the culmination of the service. This intergenerational service will appeal to all ages.
