Take a Mitten, Give a Gift, Share Christmas with a Man in Need Every December, the Union Church in Waban works with Project Care and Concern in Dorchester to create a mitten tree that extends the spirit of Christmas giving to those easily forgotten. Each mitten on the tree includes the name of a man living in transitional housing and a description of the specific gift he has requested. The gifts we offer are likely to be the only gifts these men will receive this Christmas. The mittens, decorated by the church’s children, are available today. Bring your wrapped gift, with the mitten securely attached, to church by December 16. If you have any questions, please contact Joanie Kelly or Annie Gatewood . This Christmas, please take a mitten from our tree and give a gift to let one man know that he has not been forgotten.
Christmas trees and wreaths will be available for sale Sunday after worship. These beautiful trees have been freshly cut and delivered, and will be available for sale this month on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
